Create a New Permit Category

Set up a new Permit Category for license plates to be linked to in order to flag vehicles in a customised way when they are scanned by the Aero Ranger user within the active period.

2. Go to the Permit Categories page by clicking on "Permits > Permit Categories"

3. Click "CREATE NEW PERMIT CATEGORY" to create a new permit category.

4. Type your permit category name in the 'Name' field (eg. "Residential Permit", Staff Permit", etc.)

5. Choose a colour for the permit using the dropper icon

6. Add more information about the permit in the 'Description' field (e.g. "For residents with a parking permit")

7. Choose a preset using the dropdown box, or create a custom setting using the grid below it. You can customise how you want the plate reads to react when flagged by selecting the following options:

  • Allow or Ignore Zone Violations (for overstays, no stopping violations, and invalid parking sessions)

  • Allow or Ignore Plate Alerts (for vehicles with a valid Plate Alert, which can be set up in the 'Watchlists' section of the Dashboard)

  • Count or Don't Count towards Zone Utilisation statistics

8. As permits are linked to specific zones you can limit the zones which they are allowed to be linked to by using the "Restrict to Zones" option. If this option is toggled on, use the dropdown box to toggle on the relevant zones which this permit category can be linked to.

9. Click "ADD PERMIT CATEGORY" to add the Category to the list.
